Rumor: Mass Effect 3 adding Earth-based multiplayer maps
A historically reliable tipster has provided rumored details on the next Mass Effect 3 multiplayer pack, which is said to add Earth maps, new weapons, and six new human classes.
The next multiplayer pack for Mass Effect 3 will take place on Earth, according to newly leaked details.
The "Earth" pack will add maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London. It is also said to add a Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol, Typhoon light machine gun, and six human classes: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury.
Reddit user derptemp6698 also provided the official description for the upcoming Extended Cut DLC, though it's not terribly different from what we already know: "Additional scenes and an extended epilogue reveal the impact of Shepard's choices on the future of the galaxy." He's careful to note that these releases are separate, and won't necessarily come out at the same time.
So what makes this Reddit user worth listening to? As Kotaku points out, he provided a description of the Rebellion Pack weeks before official details surfaced online. Whatever his source, it's been dead-on accurate at least once so far. The Earth pack sounds believable enough, but we'll have to wait for official word to call it confirmed. An EA representative simply told Shacknews "we don't comment on rumors or speculation."
