SimCity is moving to Facebook, EA announced today at its E3 2012 press briefing. SimCity Social looks to include many of the series' recognizable city-building traits, and is due in just a few weeks on Facebook.

The game was presented by Maxis, with a short teaser video showing off the social features and how you can appropriately care for your little Sims or be a terrible oppressive ruler. It's not quite as feature-rich as the proper incoming SimCity, but it might serve as a nice introduction.
