Saints Row expansion in September, South Park delayed
THQ's latest earning report is out and it included a few interesting tidbits, including sales figures for Saint's Row: The Third and an September release date for the expansion.
THQ has had a rough year with layoffs, a lawsuit, a threatened delisting from NASDAQ and financial problems that have forced the company to limit its E3 presence to only a meeting room instead of a large display booth.
The company's latest financial report, released today, did offer a bright spot: The Saint's Row franchise has sold more than 11 million copies globally, while the latest installment of the game has sold 4.25 million copies. It was also reveal that the proposed "Enter the Dominatrix" stand-alone expansion is slated to come out in September.
It was also revealed that the South Park game, coming from developer Obsidian Entertainment, has been delayed until early 2013. Obsidian was also hit with layoffs earlier this year, and THQ had already acknowledged that a 2012 release for the game was cutting it a bit close.
