God of War: Ascension trailer leaked, coming to PS3
A new God of War game is coming to the PS3. However, it's not exactly God of War 4.
Update: Sony has officially announced the game.
It appears the rumors were true. A new God of War game is coming to the PS3. However, it's not exactly God of War 4. An all-CG teaser trailer for God of War Ascension has leaked onto the web, and you can watch it right here.
Perhaps acknowledging the leak, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida simply uttered one word in a tweet: "sigh."
Sony's initial tease pegged an April 19th date. It's likely this trailer will be "official" tomorrow. Stay tuned to Shacknews for the latest.

I've had God Of War 3 for over a year now, and just can't get motivated to play it. I finished the first boss which I think was Poseidon but the game's story just wasn't grabbing me this time.
I got really burnt out on the difficulty of the first 2 games (having finished them both at least twice). I also bought the GoW HD collection on the same day as GoW 3, but haven't touched them. Using pts from my VISA I got the whole PS3 setup w/ the console, stand, 2 controllers w/ charger station, & a bunch of games.
Love the first 2 games (a lot; I watched the "Making of Videos" for them quite a few times).

I feel like the God of War series is over staying its welcome. They should put the IP to bed and do something new. It could even use a similar battle system, but I feel like they have done everything they can with Olympian gods

Did the "there was a time before" not give a hint? A rage he was consumed with BEFORE giving his allegiance to an unjust God? Like....Ascension clearly seems like how did Kratos ascend to the God killing, pissed off at everyone and everything bad ass he is...

Does anyone else feel like the voiceover (Gaia?) is alluding to how Kratos came up under Ares? Doesn't that sound just like a GoW 1 remake?
