Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion revealed for 3DS
Epic Mickey is getting a 3DS game as well, subtitled "Power of Illusion" for the Nintendo 3DS.
Amid the news of Epic Mickey: The Power of Two for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii, rumors were swirling about another Epic Mickey game on the horizon. Those rumors turned out to be true, with the reveal of Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion for the Nintendo 3DS.
The upcoming issue of Nintendo Power (via IGN) outs the game alongside its console brother. The game is coming from Dreamrift, the independent studio founded by the lead designer and lead programmer behind Henry Hatsworth. Other than those tidbits of information, we're in the dark about Mickey's 3D outing.
Given the timing, it seems likely that the 3DS game will launch in the same window as The Power of Two. Between Juncture Point taking the lead on the game, Blitz Games handling the PS3 and 360 versions, and now Dreamrift on a portable incarnation, Disney Interactive seems intent on putting out several versions without burning out one studio. Check out our preview of Power of Two for more info.
