Pokemon Black & White Version 2 announced
Remakes and revamps are staples of cutesty collect-o-RPG series Pokémon, so it's no surprise that Nintendo has announced new versions of Pokémon Black and White are on the way. They're named simply Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.
Remakes and revamps are staples of cutesty collect-o-RPG series Pokémon, so it's no surprise that Nintendo has announced new versions of Pokémon Black and White are on the way. Breaking the tradition of upgrading the name's colours to something a little snazzier, they're named simply Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.
As for what Black & White v2 will bring, Nintendo's more than a little vague. Legendary dragon Pokémon Kyurem will be available in White Kyurem and Black Kyurem flavours, but beyond that, all it has to say is that, "Fans can anticipate plenty of new surprises."
Fans hoping for a new Pokémon built especially for the Nintendo 3DS will need to keep waiting, as this is still being made for DS.
Pokémon Black & White v2 are slated to launch in North America this fall, first hitting Japan in June. Hopefully, before then, Nintendo will realize how perfect the names Pokémon Ebony & Ivory would be--the theme song's already sorted and everything.

For those keeping score, that's 9 mainline pokemon rpg games released on the DS. I bought Diamond when it came out but haven't really felt the hunger for pokeymans yet. Gold/Silver was close but I was able to resist the nostalgia siren's call.
Once they revamp for 3DS though, I'm going to be all over that like Onix using Bind on a rattata. -

No 3DS version? I never played a Pokemon game, but that does not mean I am oblivious to their success. It would be incredibly foolish not to make a 3DS version as well. Sure you need the DS because there is so many in homes around the world. But, the 3DS has sold extremely well. Hell, I own two of them. Bought them for my kids over Christmas. A new Pokemon game would have the 3DS flying off the shelf.
Of course, nothing Nintendo does surprises me these days.
