Xbox 360 update fixes performance, color issues
Microsoft is rolling out a mandatory Xbox 360 update today, which improves Xbox Live performance and fixes a color issue in the dashboard.
A mandatory Xbox 360 update is being pushed out today, Microsoft has announced. The update fixes a minor color issue and increases performance for Xbox Live, and will be required next time you log on to the service with your console.
Larry Hryb (aka "Major Nelson") announced the update. He says the color issue was only a problem for "some" users, but those who were suffering from it will notice the change immediately upon starting the patched-up dashboard.
The color issue is still impacting some users inside apps, most notably with Netflix. Hryb says that while the problem is corrected in the dashboard itself, individual fixes for apps will come later. "The fix is also being applied by partners to their apps on Xbox Live, which we expect to roll out over the coming months," he said.
