PS3 firmware 4.00 limits PSP game installation
Oddly, PS3 firmware 4.00 appears to have removed a key feature for PSP owners. While 4.00 added support for Vita, it appears that some PSP connectivity has been removed--intentionally or not.
Games can be installed to a PSP if it's in 'bubble form'

Sony isn't allowing support of PS1 titles on Vita. I think this is part of how they plan to control number of installs as well. Its worth pointing out I guess that PSP1 memory cards are certainly cheap at this point. The thing about Sony is that they are an engineering company that has no sense of "service" or UXE, etc. So they're going to do these things that on their face look anti-consumer, but are in reality just clunky poorly handled maneuvers to new models.
