Max Payne 3 DLC outed by GameStop promo
GameStop teased its Max Payne 3 pre-order bonus, and implied some details on some of the game's first DLC.
Max Payne 3 isn't due until March 2012, but we already know a bit about one piece of downloadable content coming post-launch. GameStop announced today that its pre-order bonus for the game is early access to the Cemetery multiplayer map (pictured above).
The announcement promises access "weeks before it is made available for download to the public." Reading between the lines, that means the Cemetery map will be DLC a few weeks after launch, though eventual pricing for the content is still unknown. The map includes sniping positions at monuments, destructible tombstones, a rotunda garden and mausoleum. Oh, and also tragic, emotionally crippling memories for our hero.
Rockstar's Dan Houser recently said the company may focus more on smaller, cheaper packs. "Map packs" seem like a good, albeit unoriginal, way of doing exactly that.
