Rage demo on Xbox 360 now, PS3 on December 6
Have you forgotten about id's latest shooter, Rage? If you haven't given it a chance yet, you'll be able to sample some mega-texture fun with a free downloadable demo on Xbox Live.
Have you forgotten about id's latest shooter, Rage? The open-world FPS came out all the way back in October, making it ancient by today's standards. Still, if you haven't given it a chance yet, you'll be able to sample some mega-texture fun with a free downloadable demo on Xbox Live.
Available now, the hefty 2GB+ demo will send you to Wellspring, "a small oasis of civilization in the Wasteland." From there, you'll have to stop the Ghost Clan from poisoning the water supply. The demo will give you a chance to try both the shooting and driving halves of the game.
The demo is exclusive to Live Gold members for now. It will be available for all Xbox 360 owners next week, and then on PlayStation Network on December 6th. Sadly, there's no word on a PC demo at all. [Update: Pete Hines went on Twitter to say that while there won't be a demo, "Steam allows us to do some things differently than we can do on console." It appears that a free weekend might be in the works?]
If you like what you see, Bethesda points out that the game will be on sale during Black Friday. Retailers, including GameStop, will discount the game in half, prettying it up with a $30 price tag. If you want our word on the game, check out our video review.

Have you used this? Released yesterday. It should already have been working though, maybe you have some messed up installation and should completely uninstall your current drivers.

They had a specific Rage driver out a long time ago:

Rage is a special case due to being OpenGL. I'm sure ATI deserves some blame there but I have to say, it's also up to the developer to work with the major hardware vendors to make sure their shit works.
