XCOM delayed into 'fiscal 2013'
The publisher has announced a delay for the new XCOM into "fiscal 2013," which begins on April 1 of next year.
2K Games' revamped take on XCOM was originally scheduled to release on March 6, the same day as Mass Effect 3. The publisher has announced a delay for the game into "fiscal 2013," which begins on April 1 of next year.
It's currently unclear if the delay is simply due to marketing, and wanting to avoid conflicting with Mass Effect 3, or if development issues are at hand. This isn't the first time XCOM has stumbled, having already undergone significant changes since the departure of its studio head.
More disconcerting is the fact that although BioShock Infinite is confirmed for calendar year 2012, while XCOM is not. Potentially, the delay could push the game into 2013.

They use XCOM name so people know it's name. They make it a half casual game so it sells more. However, those half casual gamers don't know it's name. The ones who know it's name probably aren't very interested in it because it's for half casual gamers.
I haven't obviously played the game so I can't say for sure but I have seen similar cases.-

Yeah, I think I would stop bashing the game if I would stop being so butthurt about it being called X-Com. It looks more interesting than other shooters anyway because it's not a fucking military fps. Although I wish they would stop saying that the original game was a huge influence on them when it clearly isn't.
