Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City got a firm release date of March 20 yesterday, but you may be able to get a taste earlier than that. Producer Mike Jones said the game should get a demo early next year, but was light on other details.

Joystiq reports that Jones gave word at the Capcom's Gamers Day event last week. Unfortunately, "early next year" is all we have to go on; Jones didn't specify a release target or even if the demo would be providing Capcom with gameplay feedback as a beta.

The multiplayer shooter comes from SOCOM Confrontation veterans Slant Six, and retells the stories of past Resident Evil games from a new perspective. Check out our own E3 impressions.
