Sega has a new sweepstakes on its official blog, offering fans free swag for correctly guessing the company's next big reveal. Though Sega has yet to reveal the actual title, a video hint for the giveaway features music that Daytona USA fans will recognize.

Reaction to the sweepstakes has been positive, thus far, with fans clamoring for a return of the racing title. The current assumption is Sega will release the Dreamcast title on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, as it has with other classic games in the console's library.

According to the PlayStation Blog, Sega's "secret" title will be available at a 30% discount for PlayStation Plus subscribers on October 25. Shacknews has contacted Sega for confirmation; however, seeing as though doing so would ruin the ongoing contest, we don't expect to hear anything until the company makes the reveal official.

The sweepstakes ends on October 10.

They're not all gone; a while ago I saw an 8-booth Daytona USA setup at a Dave & Buster's.

Hopefully you've played Bayonetta (has Xav started it yet?). It's insane how much fan service they did to all the old games, like Out-Run (Enzo's car, a red convertible, is playing "Magical Sound Shower" on the radio in the prologue), Hang-On (the motorcycle mini-game in Chapter VIII, verses 3 and 4), After Burner (the music in the motorcycle section), and Space Harrier (a full-on recreation of the first stage as the beginning of Chapter XIV; my jaw dropped at "Welcome to MYYYYY fantasy zone! Get ready!", since I got to play the arcade version of Space Harrier once, and I remembered the "Get ready!" part when a new life was used up.).

I hope that isn't the last time Sega allows for AM2 arcade game homages in published titles. They gave Platinum a ton of support, even having Hiro (the music composer for those games) visit them, and letting them use the original soundtracks (buried under button combos right before the start of the verse).

I Love Bayonetta its an awesome game, yes Platinum Games are a very talented team, no doubt.

Yeah the references are amazing top notch for pointing them out, yeah the Space Harrier influence for some reason was strong in Bayonetta its hard to explain the bosses reminded me of the mobs sort of. I really wish they make a new Space Harrier game btw I never got to play Planet Harriers I heard it was real good.

Same AM2 where a golden age I agree they need to defiantly do more homage to old titles it just adds that extra nostalgia that is priceless in my opinion.

Oh btw not sure if you know these sites(I think you would really appreciate them), I was visiting it when it only had a few pages --> http://www.system16.com/index.php it will real take you back its a great piece of history that I will never forget. As well as http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/ both of them I hold dear I really should rip the sites to have them permanently in case they should disappear.

                Good times :)

The D&B in Denver has an 8-booth Daytona USA thing. It's the only redeeming thing about that entire dying place.

I was obsessed with this game both in the arcade then on my Saturn. I also played the Dreamcast one quite a bit... but I was starting to be over it by then.

I'd love to see them release this and Sega Rally Champ in their original arcade editions (and throw in the Saturn versions too) with online play on XBLA or PSN...and maybe Virtua Racing and Scud Racer or whatever (Sega GT?) and Touring car or whatever.
