PS2 classics coming to PSN in 'Only on PlayStation' promotion
A handful of PlayStation 2 classics are coming to PS3 for $10 apiece during Sony's 'Only On PSN' promotion this month, including God Hand, Odin Sphere, and Maximo: Ghosts to Glory.
Sony is bringing a handful of classic PlayStation 2 titles to PS3 this week via PlayStation Network as part of an 'Only On PSN' promotion to highlight PlayStation exclusives. The initial offering of PS2 games will include such curios as Clover's divisive God Hand and Odin Sphere.
Only On PSN kicks off on Tuesday with the launch of Rochard and the PS3 edition of Eufloria, which was originally released on PC, Gamasutra reports.
As well as those two modern PS3 'exclusives,' we'll be getting God Hand, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Ring of Red, GrimGrimoire, and Odin Sphere, priced at $9.99 apiece.
October 11 will bring Sideway: New York, and a bundle of upgrades and items for PlayStation Home series Sodium. On October 18, PSN will be getting Okabu and Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken. Finally, the promotion wraps up on October 25 with PixelJunk SideScroller and the standalone expansion inFamous 2: Festival of Blood.
PlayStation Plus members will be treated to a 20% discount on all Only On PSN titles during their launch week, while anyone buying $60 or more of PSN content during the month will be treated to $10 in PSN credit come November. With some top games coming during the promotion, spending $60 may come quite naturally.

Back when warcrow, dahanese and Remo did that Played podcast they had an entire episode on God Hand and how awesome they thought it was.
I've never played the game and I'm sure that there's people who like it but the podcast gave me the distinct impression that instead of being a Japanese game that has cheesy awful shit as a byproduct of cultural differences and poor translation, it was a Japanese game that has awful cheesy shit on purpose. Almost like a parody, but not a parody. To me it sounded like the video game equivalent of Snakes on a Plane - a product which is bad on purpose and that we're supposed to eat up. Which turned me off to the game completely.-
A line from the end credits song: "Dragon kick your ass into the Milky Way!"
I never did play God Hand, but I did see the end credits out of curiosity after having played Bayonetta, and wanting to check out the game reference origins. JP Kellams was the English-language expert on both games; he has a knack for insane zany dialogue writing.
