Civilization V is preparing two new downloadable content packs, set to release on Steam and other select digital services on August 11. The Korea civilization and scenario pack and Wonders of the Ancient World scenario pack will be available for $4.99 each, or as a bundle for $7.49.

The Korea pack gives you both the civilization and the "Samurai Invasion of Korea" scenario. You can take on the role of Sejong, king of the Choson Dynasty, with Turtle Ships and Hwach'a artillery. The samurai scenario lets you play as Korea, China, Manchuria, or Japan, as the Japanese warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi looks to send his warriors to Korea.

The Wonders pack adds the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Statue of Zeus, and the Temple of Artemis to your civilizations, each with its own set of benefits. In the included scenario, you can play as one of five civilizations in a race to build amazing structures, while those other civilizations are looking into useless things like science or philosophy. Suckers.

Not sure how I feel about a separate DLC pack just for wonders.

How about an option to turn on multiplayer animation? You know..the things that games have had for 10 years now. I know the elitists players get angry that someone is enjoying the game in a way that's different to them, but how about helping your players out instead of throwing out more dlc.

Or in fact, how about actually making multiplayer work in general. That would be great, thanks.

I think these DLCs are paying for the patches (which have been pretty good thus far).

The Korea civ looks pretty cool, but I just don't think one civ is worth $5. I hope they bundle all of the ones they have released since launch into an expansion pack.

I've yet to play a mutliplayer game, but is all DLC is available in multiplayer games with people who have the same DLC?
