Freddy Kruger is Mortal Kombat's final DLC
Four DLC characters were promised for Mortal Kombat. The final character is a bit of a shocker. It's classic horror villain Freddy Kruger.
Four DLC characters were promised for Mortal Kombat. We've seen Skarlet, Kenshi, and Rain. So who's next? Well, it's a bit of a shocker.
Yep, classic horror movie villain Freddy Kruger is the last fighter to join the fray. He'll be available to download on August 9th for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points).
Unfortunately, as this is the final bit of DLC for the game, you won't be able to recreate Freddy vs. Jason. But, will Freddy vs. Kratos suffice?

THIS IS NOT THE FINAL DLC. It is the last dlc of the season, as in the "season pass" thats offered on xbox live. Boon and friends will start a new string of dlc in fall. Also, this has been hinted at monthes ago, but no1 expected it until october. Jason will follow, google it if you dont believe me.

lol how exactly do you get "left behind"? I play Scorpion mostly, how do I get left behind if I don't buy new characters they make for the game? Somebody I fight online plays Freddy, who cares? They are not stronger characters, just different fighters. How exactly do you need every fighter to stay competitive?

Allow me to join this bitch-fest!
Only two things, really. 1. I wish they'd showed him talking a bit more. Although none of the MK characters talk much, Freddy's attacks would have been greatly benefitted by his voice whispering or snarling creeping sayings. I hope he speaks a bit in-game. 2. His attacks looked fairly standard, and I'd have preferred some unique, nightmareish attacks unique to his persona. Noob Saibot is one standout in the new MK game -- instead of regular colored projectiles or other glowing attacks, Noob creates shadow versions of himself that attack in tandem. He looks and fights differently because of it. I would have loved to have seen some really unique Nightmare horror stuff make an appearance. Also, I wish he only had one claw, but w/e, nitpicking there.
I'm super glad they chose Freddy overall, though. What a great match for the MK franchise!
