Nintendo has announced the dates and prices for the symphonic concerts to celebrate the Zelda Anniversary, announced at E3. The concert series will start in Los Angeles on October 21, and move onto a full tour in 2012. It consists of music from The Legend of Zelda hand-picked by Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and his team.

The 2012 nationwide venues haven't been announced, but if you're in the Los Angeles area, you can attend the October 21 concert at the Pantages Theatre. Tickets will go on sale at Ticketmaster starting August 1, starting at $35 a pop. The 70-piece orchestra will include new arrangements of familiar tunes from the franchise.

"The Legend of Zelda has few peers in the pantheon of video game giants, and the games and their music have always shared a deep connection," said Nintendo's Scott Moffitt. "Through these concerts, fans nationwide will be able to gather and show their love for the quarter century of action, adventure and excitement that The Legend of Zelda games have brought to their lives."

The concert is one piece of the Zelda anniversary celebration, along with the recent release of Ocarina of Time 3D and its accompanying soundtrack CD. The company also released Link's Awakening on the 3DS Virtual Console, and is planning to release Four Swords for free later this year.
