Section 8 Prejudice lands on PS3 on July 26 with free DLC
It's taken quite a long time for Section 8: Prejudice to come out on PlayStation 3. To make up for the delay, TimeGame Studios is offering free DLC during the PSN launch.
It's taken quite a long time for Section 8: Prejudice to come out on PlayStation 3. The $15 online shooter made its debut on Xbox Live in April. So, why the long delay for the PS3 version? Bryan Perez, Community Manager of TimeGate Studios, says the studio needed to "take the time to optimize the game for the platform."
Of course, people don't usually like being late to the party without a gesture of goodwill. So, the PS3 version of Section 8: Prejudice will debut with some free DLC. For the first week after the game launches on PSN, all purchases will include the Blitz Armor Pack and Overdrive Map Pack for free. That's about $7 worth of DLC included with the standard $15 purchase.
In addition, the first 1000 PlayStation Plus subscribers to buy the game will also receive the "exclusive in-game Hunter Armor" and a free copy of the original Section 8.
The PlayStation Network version of Section 8: Prejudice will be available on July 26th. It will also debut with the new Skirmish mode, also being added to the Xbox 360 and PC versions.
