I'm in the middle of it right now - i don't really want to go on about it until I've finished it, considering a Shinji Mikami game always builds to a climax by the end, but my short take on it so far is:
- doesn't have the craziness level of Killer 7 of yet, however the puzzle-aspect of the gameplay is very fun, creative and varied
- combat is a souped-up RE4 style but with much better controls for straight action and fighting. Not a walk in the park on Medium - you will need timing and skill. One shotting dudes with your torch can be a lot of fun :D
- OMG the soundtrack from Akira Yamaoka is fucking amazing.
- Unreal Engine yet again, which I think really is a major limitation for this game. I get kind of sick at how all Unreal Engine games get that samey look due to the way lighting is rendered, among other things. It runs well enough, just the art style gets held back by the engine a bit much.
- hopefully will have time to finish it up soon so I can give a full opinion.
