Sonic teaser features two Sonics
Sega has posted a teaser trailer for an upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog game, showing not one but two Sonics, classic and contemporary, running side-by-side.
Sega has posted a new teaser trailer for an upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog game. Sega hints that it gives clues about the next Sonic game, but exactly how is still up for speculation. The trailer shows off the newer design of the character running through a typical Sonic stage, and meeting up with what appears to be the older, "chubby Sonic" model from his 16-bit debut days.
The end of the trailer teases that the mystery project is coming in 2011. It shows the logos for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, but no mention of WiiWare. We haven't heard much from Sega about the second part of its episodic Sonic the Hedgehog 4 project, so it's hard to tell if this new game is connected or not. If so, it's odd for the company to drop its support for WiiWare after only one episode.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Edge of Shattered Dimensions.
Future Sonic must help his past ancestor, dubbed forever more as Chubby Sonic the Fat Hedgehog, escape a fiendish plot to eliminate the entire Sonic the Hedgehog line through electrified coins that transform into robots and kill Sonic from the inside out.
Travelling through time through a mystical waygate that allows for time travel at 88 miles per hour, Sonic the Hedgehog finds Chubby Sonic the Fat Hedgehog gorging on rings and about to jam one of the Doom Rings into his butt where he keeps all the other rings he collects.
Crying out, "No, Grandpa, don't do it!" he tries to stop him but Chubby has the ring in hand and already halfway in...
