I must say that I really enjoyed the stealth elements of the original game, especially sneaking around and SURPRISE I'M EATING YOUR HEART!
On the other hand, I've now done Starbreeze-style stealth in The Darkness and Riddick, so perhaps it won't hurt to have the sequel be a bit more action-focused. It sounds like there is still the important emphasis on writing (and Mike Patton has been signed, hell yeah!), so I will definitely be taking the chance on this one ASAP.

It didn't help that the First Act was so confusing and mediocre. The Darkness just manifested itself, there was no explanation and nothing really grounded you to the world. Until Jenny was introduced there was little to go by, and really only after killing yourself and going to the pocket hell during the Great War did the game pick up Steam.
It was very gripping after that, but those first few minutes (hours really) are crucial and they kinda blew for people with no knowledge of the comic. -
