PUBG Tops 400 Million Players And You Can Join Them With A 33% Discount On Steam
Over 200 million people play PUBG monthly, so your $19.99 would be well spent if you're looking for a large community to play with.
PUBG update #15 goes live later this week, changing up the map selection process and adding the island map Sanhok to the rotation with its own exclusive weapon. A press release revealed today that the player count for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has topped 400 million and, if you're not one of the many playing and would like to, you can have the game via Steam for $19.99.
What's in store for you if you join the over 400 million players airdropping into PUBG? Right now, you have two full-size maps and a plethora of weapons and vehicles. A third map, the savage island map now named Sanhok, will be going live when update 15 hits on June 22 and introduces a smaller map size and a new Mini Royale playlist that focuses on faster matches.
The game receives regular updates and, in my personal experience with a GTX 1060, 8GB RAM, and Intel i5-6400, it runs well these days. There are still occasional hiccups, but cheaters and game-breaking errors are few and far between in my experience. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates and be sure to bookmark our many PUBG guides so you don't go in completely unprepared if you grab PUBG for $19.99 on Steam.
