Outer Wilds is an open-world mystery featuring a bespoke solar system for players to explore. The first-person space sim from Mobius Digital and published by Annapurna Interactive was announced for PC with a 2018 release date, but is getting company at launch with the announcement that it's coming to Xbox One and the Windows 10 store.
Outer Wilds is a curious looking game with a collection of planets with hidden locations that change with the passage of time. The solar system players explore is trapped in an endless time loop, causing some pretty catastrophic events to go down regularly.
There's an underground city to explore before it's swallowed by sand, for instance, and an entire planet that starts to crumble beneath the player's feet. You'll have to use a handful of gadgets to unravel the mystery of Outer Wilds sometime later in 2018. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
