Bungie's Destiny 2: Forsaken Annual Pass Adds Three Content Releases For Year 2
Details are still rolling out, but this new pass will work in conjunction with the typical expansions for Destiny 2.
The new Annual Pass for Destiny 2: Forsaken was introduced during the year 2 live stream and it's a bit different than previous expansions. Purchasing the annual pass nets a player access to three content releases over Destiny 2's second year and these are the things that will be included in each release:
- Endgame challenges
- New weapons, armor, and vanity rewards to collect
- New and returning exotics
- New pinnacle activities
- New triumph records to collect
- New lore to discover
This pass is a way to "reinvent" the sustained experience of Destiny 2, and it seems like it will add another layer of DLC to the game. On the PlayStation Network store, there's a bundle for Destiny 2 that includes the annual pass. The price comes to about $79.99 and comes with Destiny: Forsaken and the annual pass. The bundle points out that the Destiny 2 and both expansions are required for Destiny 2: Forsaken, but are not included.
With the structure described in the store, it looks like the annual pass will be replacing the typical expansion releases for Destiny 2. We'll update with more information as it is made available. Check out the new bow and arrow weapon coming in year 2 along with the new Destiny 2: Forsaken features for collectors.
