Three New Pokemon Titles Announced, Releasing This Year for Nintendo Switch and Mobile
It's time to get excited, Trainers.
Today, during a special press conference held in Tokyo, Japan, Game Freak's Junichi Masuda and Tsunekazu Ishihara of The Pokemon Company were on hand to announce not one, but three new Pokemon titles across Nintendo Switch and smartphones.
One of them in particular was Pokemon Quest, which is coming to Nintendo Switch and smartphones. This free-to-start adventure will find you scouring the island for different Pokemon to capture, and customizing them to your liking as you make your way through the world. Surprise! It's also availalble to download on Nintendo Switch right now and will be coming to mobile devices at a later date.
Additionally, a new 3D Pokemon title with some truly adorable graphics was announced as Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! on the Nintendo Switch, poised for a November 16 release. There's also a special Poke Ball peripheral in use in tandem with the game that lets you throw and capture Pokemon with, which admittedly looks pretty awesome.

Interestingly, the new Poke Ball peripheral Poke Ball Plus, will let you control the game in place of a Joy-Con if you're so inclined, which is certainly a cool development.
You can use the #PokeBallPlus as a Joy-Con in #PokemonLetsGo! Good things may happen if you place one of your favorite Pokémon into the device and walk around with it in the real world. It will be able to connect to Pokémon GO as well! pic.twitter.com/I18Y55odpp

But that wasn't all, as a new core RPG was announced that should be setting down in the second half of 2019. It wasn't given much time during the presentation, but it's coming down the pipeline to please Pokemon fans who have been waiting around for this very announcement for some time.
It's certainly a fantastic day for eager Pokemon fans, that's for sure. We'll be sure to keep you updated as more information ekes out about the newest entries in the series, because, look -- we're just as excited as you are.

I fucking called this October 2016. Of course they were going to collapse all of their software onto one platform, I have no idea why people thought they were going to release another handheld alongside the Switch.
The 30 million units sold estimate for April 2019 is conservative, they're going to blow that number out of the water like they blew 2018 estimates out of the water.

I guess Pokemon Quest is available now on Switch eShop? Looks like a mobile game.

That new game looks pretty neat. Only reason I stopped playing Go in the first place was because there were hardly any stops near me. I actually considered playing a hacked version of the game at one point lol.
I'm probably gonna get the Eevee version; I heard there's supposed to be a new eeveelution in this game too.
