Developer Iron Galaxy is probably best known for their fighting game pedigree. They are, after all, the company behind the more recent version of Killer Instinct and Divekick. But they can have other interests beyond just making brawlers and they're ready to prove it with the upcoming release of their giant-killer action title Extinction. According to PCGamer, Iron Galaxy will launch Extinction on April 10th for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Extinction looks like an action title that takes a few cues from Monster Hunter World and maybe a splash of Shadow of the Colossus or Attack on Titan. Players will take on the role of a hero tasked with saving humanity from a massive army of nasty monsters that includes gigantic 150-feet tall ogres that need to be hacked and slashed to death.

Extinction will retail for $59.99 at launch for the standard edition. There will be a deluxe edition as well that's set to retail for $69.99 and will contain all future DLC planned for the game. Players will also be able to purchase a season pass separately from the game for $10.

Remember, you've got until April 10th to pre-order Extinction for PC, XBox One, and PS4.
