The Switch is continuing its reputation as a popular port machine, which is certainly just fine by fans of Nintendo's hybrid console. This time around, developer Circle Entertainment has revealed via Twitter that an all-new fresh-to-Switch RPG collection is about to make its timely arrival. The new title is called Mercenaries Saga Chronicles, and it bundles together all three Mercenaries Saga games from the Nintendo 3DS, with each game having been tweaked to provide a new Switch experience complete with enhanced controls and a 16:9 resolution.

Even though Mercenaries Saga 2 and 3 were released for the Nintendo 3DS in various territories, this new collection will be the first time that console players will be able to enjoy the series' first entry, Mercenaries Saga: Will of the White Lions. The collection will also include Mercearies Saga 2: Order of the Silver Eagle as well as Mercenaries Saga 3: Gray Wolves of War, giving Chronicles a grand total of 82 different campaign chapters. In addition, many of the changes made to the third title in the series, including the Hate display and minion summoning skills, will also be present in the updated versions of the first two games.

Other small tweaks have also been introduced in the Nintendo Switch version of the games, and it appears that the bundle will make for some good value even for players who might have enjoyed Mercenaries Saga games the first time around. Though we don't yet know what the new game will cost, Switch fans can expect Mercenaries Saga Chronicles to land on the Nintendo Switch sometime next month, perhaps in a worldwide release coinciding with the title's scheduled Japanese release on February 18.
