PAX South 2018: Vampyr Gets A Four-Part Miniseries
The first episode of the miniseries "DONTNOD Presents Vampyr" will introduce us to doctor-turned-camp Jonathan Reid and focus on the duality players will have to balance in the game.
Focus Home Interactive and DONTNOD Entertainment are gearing up to release Vampyr, an intriguing action-RPG that cracked my Most Anticipated list for 2018 and will launch in spring, and they're adding some fuel to the hype train in an interesting way. Starting on January 18, Vampyr will be getting a four-part miniseries called "DONTNOD Presents Vampyr".
The duality of Jonathan Reid, Vampyr's doctor turned vampire, is the protagonist of the experience will be getting this Spring and his duality is the focal point of the first episode of the miniseries. DONTNOD will also be giving players and enthusiasts a look into their creative process when shaping Vampyr.
"The studio will make players feel the duality that torments doctor-turned-vampire, Jonathan Reid, giving them the freedom to choose who to sacrifice and who to save," the team explains in the press release. "Every killing has consequences, and it’s up to players to balance their need to feed and grow stronger, with the rapidly deteriorating city of London."
The first episode, titled Making Monsters, debuts on January 18. The following three episodes will release weekly the next three weeks and have their titles are listed below.
- Episode II: Architects of the Obscure
- Episode III: Human After All
- Episode IV: Stories From the Dark
Vampy will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this Spring.
