The Fad That Won't Die: PUBG Hits 3 Million Players on Xbox
PlayerUnknown’s shooter proves that people love chicken dinner, even if it’s served stuttery.
It’s no secret that PUBG was the biggest PC game release of 2017. It is currently on pace to become the best selling PC game of all time. Console players on the Xbox One were able to get a taste of the action with an early access version of the game that first went on sale at the end of December. The winner-take-all shooter is proving to be just as popular on Microsoft’s console as it has been on the PC.
Phil Spencer, the man who runs Xbox Town, fired off a tweet today to reveal that the Xbox One version of PUBG is selling like gangbusters:

Developer Bluehole has been very active with updates for the early access version of PUBG on Xbox One. Each new title update has helped improve performance and general network latency issues. Some were concerned that the game would flounder in the incredibly rough state that the console version launched in, but things are looking up.
The PC version hit version 1.0 on December 22 and the release included the new desert map. The Xbox One version is expected to receive that map update sometime this year. Our very own Asif Khan also had a chance to talk shop with PlayerUnknown during TGS at the end of last year. Check it out in the video below.
