PUBG Sells One Million Units on Xbox One
It didn't take long for the console version of PUBG to break such a major milestone. Less time than you probably even think.
It only took PUBG 48 hours to sell one million copies on Xbox One consoles. While this is a drop in the bucket compared to the number of units sold on PC it's definitely a good start for its console debut. Still, one million units in two days should come as no surprise to anyone who has watched PUBG become one of the biggest success stories in PC gaming over the last year. It basically came out of nowhere and won over fans with its straightforward battle royale survival gameplay.
As reported by GamesIndustry this is all happening despite the fact that many Xbox One players are complaining that the early access console version seems to have more flaws than its PC counterpart did in its early stages, such as a poorer draw rate and graphics that aren't up to par. Such issues weren't enough to deter fans who have already waited patiently for PUBG to make its way to the Xbox One.
When you factor in that Microsoft has announced they're giving away free copies of PUBG with the purchase of a new Xbox One until the end of the year, the number of units sold may set some new sales records for the company.

You're wrong. Computer game engines don't magically go from super-laggy-piece-of-shit to awesomely-smooth right before being launched to the public. The PUBG developers are just a bunch of mod-making amateurs, not professional software engineers. Since they're using the Unreal engine, the engine should be really smooth, but the PUBG devs somehow managed to completely butcher it and turn it into a massive turd. These major technical design problems won't get fixed before 1.0, or after; the only way to fix it is to hire a team of professionals and start from scratch.

I went in with the lowest possible expectations because of all the praise from y’all and the rest of the internet’s PC quibbles. Then I lowered them another notch or three after reading about the Xbox X disaster.
I managed to get through three games. I died in a Jeep as a passenger by he guy on foot being runned over. I don’t remember what happened in attempt 2, but I know it was short. Then I ran around with a dude using a mic (very level headed btw...I’m finding more and more gamers with etiquette and teamwork attributes!). We spent a good 20 or so minutes running round collecting goodies. The get your ass in the safe one started up and my health dropped. I kept trying to use the haling stuff, but it didn’t work. By the time I remembered I had to be still to use hem I was on my knees. Dude was on the other side of safe zone and kept motivating me to make it...I did not.
So I had a pretty great time given how badly I did. But it’s gotta be an order of magnitude worse than the battlefield wake island demo. 15 is being generous code-e255! Im on the piddly S and it looks gross...like circa 2003ish visuals. Lots of lag. Plenty of hitching. The biggest distraction as the constant farting from my center channel, lol.
It’s the biggest steaming pile of dung, but for some reason, I’m looking forward to jumping back in!
Also, with 100 people on such a massive map, I don’t see how the potato AMD chip could pull off a smooth experience. Would have thought they’d at least try 50 slots and half size map. -

You know what's funny? All these fucking people complaining that the game runs like shit and it's badly optimized etc, etc. However, two of my friends at work played it the other night for the first time on a regular xbone and they loved it. They didn't even complain for a second about any lag or stuttering.
They were just happy they got a chance to play it. The internet is the fucking worst.
