Strategy MMO Elvenar Lands On Mobile Devices
The browser game turned MMO sensation has landed on iOS and Android devices with touch-optimized controls.
Elvenar has been kicking around the internet for about two years now, and many fans might have stumbled upon it through various web-based portals for strategy games that can be run straight from their browsers. However, sticking to a PC is no longer part of the Elvenar requirements, as developer InnoGames has announced the recent mobile release of their popular strategic MMO for iOS and Android devices.
Considering the game's diverse userbase, Elvenar has been developed to run on all manner of mobile devices, including essentially any device running iOS 8 or later as well as mobile phones and tablets running Android version 4.4.4 or later. In addition, the development team has optimized the game for touch-based controls, including a completely revamped interface. The mobile version of Elvenar will also be cross-compatible with other devices and existing user accounts, so PC players can enjoy the game on-the-go with their friends, even if they're playing at home on their personal computers.
For those who might be curious, Elvenar is a massively-multiplayer online game that focuses on strategy-like gameplay and city building. Set in "an exotic fantasy world," players can choose an avatar from either the Human or Elf races and begin to build their empire while simultaneously exploring the in-game world. Both factions have their own unique buildings, units, and technologies, with Elves presenting a focus on magical and natural energies while Humans rely on worldly science and engineering.
Players can pick up the free-to-play title Elvenar right now through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. And, just to sweeten the deal, InnoGames is currently running a competition where fans have the chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 or iPad Air 2.
