Like Clockwork, PewDiePie Issues An Apology
Everyone knew it was coming, but will it change anything?
"You probably won't believe me when I say this, but" is how PewDiePie dives into his apology this time around, pointing out how he's disgusted when he hears other players use the same language he used in his latest snafu. He says that he wants to be better and that, being in his position, he should know better. Well yeah, he should by now.
It's not really up to us to determine whether or not PewDiePie will learn from this particular event. His toxic behavior has welcomed some toxic characters into his community and only by a consistent stream of actions will he be able to bounce back. Or, he could stay content and just get ready for the next apology.

Hold on, the monologue posted yesterday was a teardown of his inappropriate behavior and specifically commented on the lack of an apology.
Now there's a post picking on his apology? How can you pick on someone for what they did wrong then write up an eye-roll about his response?
He did wrong, he apologized, let it go. That's the process we're supposed to go through with wrongdoing, not keep complaining about it.-

Same way a lot of people did toward trump with Charlottesville, and rightfully so. It was a stupid thing to do in the first place, and the delay in issuing the half assed apology spoke volumes to its actual sincerity. -
I agree with this. I don't think a hit piece like this is in good taste, or fair, after the guy did exactly what people were demanding of him. I'm glad Shacknews took a stand on the issue to begin with, but this is not the way to promote a racism free future in my view. It just makes "our side" seem unreasonable.
