Wolfenstein 2 Trailer Shows Big Brother is Watching and Telling on You
Bethesda's take on Nazi state-run TV lets us know that chocolate is an indulgence they won't allow.
In the Nazi-controlled America of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, good nutrition is a matter of state security. So put that chocolate away before big brother catches you and has you shipped to the state Health Ministry.
A new trailer for the game shows off simulated state-run programming of a TV show called Trust in Brother. Little Ronnie gets caught chowing down on chocolate by Nazi-youth brother Dale, who tells him of the dangers of poor nutrition and that Dad wouldn't be pleased if he found out, likely shipping poor Ronnie off to nutrition brainwashing instruction. After Ronnie relaxes and recites the lessons about honor, Dale informs him that he will still be informing on him.
After the propaganda bit, we get the feel good part of killing Nazis and nuking their new high-tech creations, which will be the bulk of the game when if finally comes out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 27.
And if all that isn't bad enough, we have a Nazi mom who is into fat-shaming.
Bethesda and developer MachineGames have already revealed a season pass and post-launch DLC, which will introduce three new characters in different scenarios of rebellion against the German war machine.
Please note that this video in no way is a reflection of the direction America is currently heading. Probably ...
