E3 2017: Insomniac's Spider-Man Gets Massive Gameplay Video
Spiderman's latest adventure appears to be his most ambitious yet.
Seems like Sony saved the best for last, as they've punctuated their E3 2017 press conference with a massive new gameplay video for Insomniac's upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive title Spider-Man.
The new footage shows everyone's favorite web crawler slinking and jumping his way through an abandoned warehouse taking out the minions of criminal overlord Fisk. Numerous gameplay features were on display, including Spidey's new ability to jumpkick and pin enemies against a wall with his web. The game looks to make liberal use of slow-motion fighting based around Spiderman's heightened senses as well, effectively meaning players will be able to execute combos that far outpace the abilities of basic human opponents.
As could be expected, there's a huge amount of web-based city traversal, which is useful for doing things like taking out helicopters and saving innocent bystanders from the resulting debris. Even better, Insomniac dropped a nice post-credit nod to fans of the Ultimate Spiderman series:
Like many of the games shown off at Sony's press conference, players can expect to get their hands on Insomniac's Spider-Man sometime in 2018.
