E3 2017: God of War Shows Us More Fatherly Kratos
'It's no place for a boy. You must be a warrior,' he tells his son.
The new God of War got some prominent play at Sony's E3 press briefing, giving us more story, more combat and more monsters than we had seen before. We also got a release window of early 2018.
The trailer shows us more of the fatherly Kratos, dispensing advice to his son Atreus and teaching him to be a warrior. There were lots of new enemies, including a massive World Serpent that offeres help to Kratos and Atreus. We still see plenty the wicked gameplay we have come to expect, while the trailer adds a bit more background to go with the Norse mythos surroundings.
