Far Cry 5 Teaser Shows Game is Set in the Good Ol' U.S. of A.
It's another teaser to a reveal. Ubisoft's next action-survival game will be home on the range.
The Far Cry series has taken us to some far away exotic places, with some pretty wild storylines. But according to a new teaser from Ubisoft for Far Cry 5, it appears this installment will be much closer to home.
Hope County, Montana, to be exact. The teaser is nothing but a beautiful scene with a rushing river, purple mountain's majesty, running through open green fields, and a lone church bell inviting everyone with a "Welcome to Hope County" overlay. Capt. Vasili Borodin would have loved it, except for the scream and gun shot. Hope County won't be found on any map, though, so Ubisoft is still packing in a layer of fiction atop this real-world American setting.
You know that Far Cry 5 has something a bit more sinister up its sleeve. We'll likely get to find out what that might be at a "worldwide reveal" this Friday, May 26, on Ubisoft's official YouTube channel.
