Nearly three weeks after accusing Oculus VR and John Carmack of stealing their intellectual property, Zenimax and id Software have formally filed suit against the company in a Texas court.
ZeniMax has issued a legal threat against Oculus VR, claiming that it both took proprietary VR technology and used John Carmack's expertise from his time at ZeniMax-owned id Software.
John Carmack was once doing double duty at id Software and Oculus. However, he eventually left the house of Doom to focus exclusively on the VR helmet. In a new interview, Carmack says he would have stayed with id had they been more supportive of his VR ambitions.
