The new Xbox Live Rewards has arrived and now rewards you for playing new release games -- as long as they're on-disc.
Microsoft is expanding its Xbox Live Rewards program in April, with a "Play to Earn" promotion that grants bonuses like Gold membership or MS Points.
Say, you wouldn't happen to be planning to play a lot of Halo 4, would you? If so, you're in luck, as Microsoft is offering a stack of free MS Points through its Xbox Live Rewards programme simply for playing the latest shooty-shoots. If you're not that bothered about Halo 4 and just want the free points, well, there are probably better uses for your time.
Members of the free Xbox Live Rewards service now have monetary incentive to go after those blip-bloop Achievements. By reaching certain Gamerscore thresholds, you can unlock Xbox Live rebates.
Microsoft announced plans today to offer Xbox Live Rewards for Achievements sometime this fall.
