Wii Sports Club rolls out Golf today

Wii Sports Club debuted with tennis and bowling, but if you want a little more up your sleeve to help settle family arguments over Christmas, Nintendo has you covered. Golf has rolled out onto Wii U today, with the same price model of $1.99 to play all three sports for one day or $9.99 to keep Golf forever.

NES Remix shaking up classics on Wii U today

Nintendo has shook up some of its classic NES games in a compilation named NES Remix, which either smooshes several together ("mashes them up," in the vernacular) or changes them for cheeky challenges. In a fine feat of secret-keeping, it was only announced this morning and is already to download on Wii U for $14.99.

Yoshi's New Island coming in spring

Nintendo narrowed the release windows for two of its first-party titles today. Both Yoshi's New Island for 3DS and Mario Kart 8 for Wii U will launch in spring 2014.

Dr. Luigi starts practicing December 31

Nintendo announced Dr. Luigi today, a spin-off of Dr. Mario with modes from past games and a new "Operation L" mode with combination pills. It's coming December 31.

Hyrule Warriors mixes Zelda and Dynasty Warriors

A crossover between The Legend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors may not be something you've clamoured for, but it's something you're getting. Nintendo today announced Hyrule Warriors for Wii U, a spin-off from Tecmo Koei's hack 'n' slash series which series Link murdering hordes of monsters.

LEGO The Hobbit first trailer shows off movie cast

With hobbits and dwarves now frolicking around the screen of a cinema near you, Warner Bros. today released the first trailer for its latest plastic adaptation, LEGO The Hobbit. As with TT Games' LEGO The Lord of the Rings, this is lifting dialogue and plot from the movies, then slapping in a hearty dose of LEGO silliness.
