State of Decay developer Undead Labs executive producer Jeff Strain says that adding multiplayer is off the table.
It started in Australia but didn't stay there for long. Within hours it was rolling across borders and drifting across seas, a wave of undead crashing against shores. The second State of Decay title update is rolling out today, I'm saying. The patch notes list a grand 56 changes, from bug fixes to balance tweaks.
Undead Labs founder Jeff Strain says that if a full sequel comes for State of Decay, it would be an Xbox One game.
The open-world zombie 'em up passed 500,000 sales within its first week, publisher Microsoft Studios has announced, declaring it "the fastest selling original game ever on Xbox Live Arcade." What now? Undead Labs is still working on patches, apparently doesn't have too much to do on the PC edition, and is making a sandbox mode. Beyond that, well, there's still its dream of a full-on zombie MMO, codenamed 'Class4'.
The promised first update for open-world survive 'em up State of Decay went live over the weekend, or so it seemed. Unfortunately, the fixes it was supposed to bring were clearly not in effect, and after a bit of checking developer Undead Labs has confirmed that "the update was being downloaded, but not applied." It's working on getting this working, but can say when that might be.
Just when everyone seemed bored stiff of zombies, State of Decay launched last week to shake a little life into the genre. That sentence contained two jokes. The open-world zombie 'em up sold a whopping 250,000 copies in its first two days on sale, developer Undead Labs announced, also revealing that an XBLA title update is in the pipe. Alas, it also says the PC version won't be coming soon "by any meaningful use of the word 'soon'."
Open-world zombie survive 'em up State of Decay will debut on Xbox 360 this Wednesday, developer Undead Labs has announced at short notice. It'll cost 1600 Microsoft Points ($15) on Xbox Live Arcade but, alas, there's still no word on when the PC version will arrive.
Open-world zombie apocalypse survive 'em up State of Decay will launch in June, developer Undead Labs has announced. A PC release will follow later. The studio established by ArenaNet co-founder Jeff Strain also lurched forward with a new trailer clutched in its outstretched arms, showing off snippets of life after undeath.
"The world doesn't need more dragons," Undead Labs boldly declared it announced a multiplayer zombie sandbox game codenamed 'Class3' back in 2009. Oh, how little they knew! Now, one zombie craze later, the studio founded by Blizzard veteran and ArenaNet co-founder Jeff Strain is finally showing off the rotting fruits of the labour, now named State of Decay and coming to PC and Xbox 360.
