Austin indie Twisted Pixel, the dev behind 'Splosion Man, The Gunstringer, Comic Jumper, and more, has been acquired by Microsoft.
Twisted Pixel pays homage to classic laser games like Mad Dog McCree in The Gunstringer's free launch-day DLC, with a live-action shooting gallery starring cowboys and Troma co-founder Lloyd Kaufman.
If you fancy Kinect games with fewer hoedowns and more showdowns, you can give 'Splosion Man developer Twisted Pixel's arcade shooter The Gunstringer a whirl in the demo out now.
Microsoft and Twisted Pixel announced today that The Gunstringer will come out September 13 in North America, and September 16 in Europe. It will cost $39.99, and include a download code for Fruit Ninja Kinect.
Ms. Splosion Man will be adding new weekly challenges with leaderboards and giveaways, without having to sit through a patch, using the Xbox 360's TMS system.
Twisted Pixel has transitioned The Gunstringer to a full retail product, and will be shipping to brick-and-mortar stores in September.
