Turtle Rock's Evolve will share a lot of common factors with Left 4 Dead, right down to the need to work together against the game's monster... whichever monster you may be fighting against, that is.
The studio behind Left 4 Dead has announced its next game: Evolve, for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this fall.
Remember how Left 4 Dead's characters looked long ago, before Valve snapped up creator Turtle Rock Studios? A rummage in Valve's archive has dug up the old models, and you can now play the early burly bearded incarnation of loveable biker Francis in Left 4 Dead 2. The other beta survivors may follow later too.
Continuing its adventures into Linux, Valve has released a penguin-friendly edition of another of its games, bringing the total to five. Could it be Left 4 Dead? Portal 2? HL2: Episode Two? Gosh, even Episode 3? Er, no, it's Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. Still, that's nice, isn't it?
In an auctioning process, THQ has sold many of its studios and upcoming games.

Left 4 Dead co-developer Turtle Rock Studios reveals that it's hiring for a new unnamed project using CryEngine technology, to be published by THQ.
