Killing Floor celebrates Twisted Christmas again

It's lucky that Christmas is coming, as otherwise nothing would be happening in the world of video games. Killing Floor developer Tripwire today announced the return of Twisted Christmas, an event which transforms the co-op survival FPS into a wintry horrorshow. This being the fourth such celebration, gosh, it's almost a Christmas tradition in itself.

Killing Floor free for a week as Summer Sideshow introduces Objective Mode

Summer has now truly begun, with the launch of Killing Floor's latest seasonal event. The free Summer Sideshow: Pier of Pain update introduces another map of steampunk carnival carnage, Steamland, which is the first of Tripwire's new Objective Mode maps. Oh, and the survival shooter is free for everyone to play until July 11. Come, join the festivities!

Red Orchestra 2 expandalone Rising Storm out tomorrow

Tripwire had said it would launch the Rising Storm standalone expansion for Red Orchestra 2 in May and while it cut things close, by gum it's just made it. The dev announced yesterday that it'll be out on Thursday, so do hurry if you want to pre-order and grab the discount and bonus Killing Floor characters.

Rising Storm trailer shows off Red Orchestra 2's Pacific expandalone

Rising Storm may be coming a mite later than its original release window of 2011, but a new trailer out of GDC shows the time hasn't been wasted. The Red Orchestra 2 expansion-turned-standalone is set in World War 2's Pacific theatre, and the trailer travels from Guadalcanal to Saipan via Hanto River and Iwo Jima. With flamethrowers.

Killing Floor Twisted Christmas event blasts off to the moon

Tripwire Interactive's support of Killing Floor has been jolly admirable, with regular free content updates and paid DLC releases which don't feel exploitative. After taking us to a frightful fairground for its summer event and a mutant hillbilly hideout at Halloween, the co-op survival shooter is blasting players to the Moon, of all places, in its latest 'Twisted Christmas' celebration.

Killing Floor celebrates Halloween with hillbillies

When your game is already about killing mutated monstrosities, you really need to push the boat out for Halloween. Killing Floor has always handled events with gusto and this year is no different, with zombie hillbillies after your blood and delicious brains in a new map. The Hillbilly Horror update also adds four new weapons, and the game and its DLC are on sale t'boot.

Killing Floor Summer Sideshow returns

Roll up, roll up, for the carnival of carnage that is Killing Floor's Summer Sideshow. The eviscerating event has returned with five new weapons, a new fairground map 'Hellride,' and, of course, more murderous carnival freaks.
