Defiance has detailed its special editions and pre-order bonuses, ranging from standard $59.99 editions to a $149.99 "Ultimate" edition.

Trion Worlds' MMO shooter Defiance will kick off its first beta test January 18-20, featuring a tutorial and a handful of maps and modes.

"As much as one-third of the development team working on MMO Rift" have been laid off by Trion, a new report details.

Petroglyph has officially confirmed it is no longer involved with End of Nations, and has laid off 19 people as a result.

Between the indefinite delay of the open beta of MMORTS End of Nations and reported layoffs at developer Petroglyph, publisher Trion Worlds has taken the troubled title under its wing and will continue to develop the game in-house.

Petroglyph, the developer behind End of Nations, has reportedly laid off approximately 30 employees, just a week after the company announced the game's open beta was delayed indefinitely.

Trion Worlds has already had several closed betas for End of Nations, but apparently there is still work to be done. The company has announced that the planned open beta for the game has been delayed indefinitely.

When the fantasy MMO Rift was first released, it build up a strong following, so much so that publisher Trion Worlds was confident enough to go forward with an expansion called Storm Legion. After two closed betas, the game will hit open beta from November 2-5.

Trion Worlds and Shacknews have teamed up again for an End of Nations beta key giveaway for the final beta test of the upcoming free-to-play real-time strategy MMO End of Nations. At stake are 20 keys and the chance to join in on an exclusive five-on-five Shack Battle with the devs.
