Nintendo has announced release dates for Super Mario 3D World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Mario games used to be big events. Six years separated Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. Four years separated Gamecube's lone Mario game with New Super Mario Bros for Wii. And now, we're on track to have three Mario games in two years. Has Nintendo diluted the brand?

The two final course packs for New Super Mario Bros 2 have been released: the Mystery Adventures pack and the Impossible pack. Each costs $2.50 and adds three courses.

Nintendo is releasing a free "Gold Classics" pack for New Super Mario Bros 2, with courses inspired by elder Mario titles. It will cost $2.50 after February 1, 2013.

Nintendo has confirmed that it is planning to release additional courses for New Super Mario Bros U as DLC, but hasn't started work on them yet.
