Sawfly, a studio made up of some key talent from Wipeout developers Sony Liverpool, says that its focus is 'elsewhere' from racing games right now.

Sony Computer Entertainment today confirmed plans to shut down Studio Liverpool, 19 years after acquiring it and almost 30 after the studio was founded as the hallowed Psygnosis. Studio Liverpool was most known for creating and developing racing series Wipeout, but it was also once a publisher too, bringing the world DMA Design's (now Rockstar) >Lemmings games.

Wipeout 2048 is adding two new content packs that bring in loads of content from Wipeout HD and Wipeout Fury. Plus, if you already own HD or Fury, you can download the add-on packs for free.
