It's confirmed. Sony closes SOCOM developer Zipper Interactive.
Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed that it laid off employees from Zipper Interactive, calling it "normal business practice" after finishing two major projects.
If you buy a new copy of SOCOM 4, you'll get access to what Zipper Interactive is calling "SOCOM Pro." This qualifies you for freebies like extra weapons, modes, and eventually even maps.
Sony is including vouchers for early Resistance 3 beta access with specially marked and Full Deployment Editions of SOCOM 4.
The SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta will begin this month with a private group, slowly expanding until, by April 5, it's open to everyone.
