A new trailer for The Sims 4 shows off the new character creation features, letting you tweak tiny attributes to make your own Sim.
"We're really excited to say that players on lower end machines are going to have a much better experience on The Sims 4 than they did with The Sims 3," producer Ryan Vaughn said.
The Sims 3 families and content won't import to The Sims 4, so you'll have to recreate them to continue living out their weird little lives.
The Sims 4 is aiming to make more emotionally attuned sims, letting you utilize those to help them achieve their lifelong goals.
EA's Frank Gibeau says that the problems with SimCity's launch and player feedback led to the decision to make The Sims 4 an offline game.
"How many damn expansions will The Sims 3 get anyway?" you mutter. Well, its eleventh expansion pack may answer that question, as it blasts virtual people Into the Future to a world of holo-displays, robots, and hoverboards. Be sure to check a GameStop while you're there.
