The crowdfunded tactical shooter Takedown: Red Sabre will hit PC and Xbox Live Arcade on September 20 for $14.99.

Serellan's love letter to classic tactical shooters is finally hitting the home stretch and showed off some of Takedown: Red Sabre's action.

Takedown was unusual amongst crowd-funded games in that developer Serellan was looking to make a prototype, which it would then shop around to raise more money and actually make the game. Unconventional, but it's worked. Publisher 505 Games today announced that it has picked up the tactical FPS and will release it later this year under the name Takedown: Red Sabre.

It came down to the wire, but Serellan hits its Kickstarter funding goal for its tactical shooter Takedown.
