How cyborgs helped Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance avoid censorship

The smoke from Metal Gear Solid 4 has cleared, but there are still traces of the Patriots project that remain scattered around the world. They re-emerge in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, led by a hulking cybernetic warmonger named Sundowner. Long-time MGS supporting character Raiden is the only one who stands in his way. To learn more about Raiden's character evolution, we talked to Kojima Productions' lead programmer, , and Platinum Games producer, Atsushi Inaba.

Anarchy Reigns dated for January 2013

Though Sega released Anarchy Reigns in Japan in July, the publisher has really dragged its heels with the western release. Even developer PlatinumGames was surprised when Sega delayed its multiplayer beat 'em up into the first quarter of 2013, but at least we now have a solid release date: January 8, 2013 in North America.

Bayonetta PS3 port is Platinum's 'biggest failure'

Platinum Games' Bayonetta is a masterful joining of splendid face-kicking action and absurd, guns-on-heels, hair-as-clothes, disco-dancing stylings. The PlayStation 3 edition, however, was a bit shoddy, plagued with longer load times, lower framerate, and worse textures than its Xbox 360 kin. This outsourced oopsie, director Atsushi Inaba has said, is Platinum's "biggest failure" so far.
